Navigate to a Page

Go to any webpage that contains images you want — a photo gallery, news article, product page, social media post, etc.

Click the Extension Icon

Click the Image Grabber icon in your Chrome toolbar. The popup will open and begin scanning the page for all image elements.

Browse the Gallery

All detected images appear in a grid. Hover over any image to see its dimensions and file format. Use format filters if needed.

Select What You Need

Click individual images to select them (they'll highlight), or click "Select All" to grab every image on the page at once.

Download Your Images

Click "Download Selected". Images are saved to your default Downloads folder. Large selections are automatically packaged into a ZIP file.

Image Grabber only processes images visible on the page you're currently viewing. No browsing data is collected or transmitted to any server.

🗄️ Data Storage

No user data is stored or persisted. Image URLs are detected in-memory only for the duration the popup is open, and immediately discarded when you close it.

🔐 Permissions Explained

  • activeTab — reads the content of the tab you are currently viewing, only activated when you click the icon
  • scripting — injects a temporary script to scan img elements on the page
  • downloads — triggers file download to your local device

📡 Network Requests

The extension fetches image files from their original source URLs to enable downloading — the same requests your browser would make displaying the page. No proxy or third-party server is used.
